Job Description
The Corporate Division of Flint Energy Services Ltd, is currently seeking a dynamic team member for a challenging opportunity as the Corporate Safety Advisor, Northern Region located in our Sherwood Park Office
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
· Leading, guiding, and mentoring employees on FLINT Safety Best Practice’s, focused on loss prevention, risk management and hold the belief that People Are Number One 24/7.
· Monitoring compliance with the Flint Safety Management System, our clients’ processes as well as Provincial and Canadian Legislated safety regulations.
· Working with Line Management Employees and Field Safety Advisors in various facilities and project sites throughout Western Canada.
· Conducting documented Safety Management System Attest/Audit reports on a monthly basis.
· Providing weekly Management Reports to Corporate EHS/LC Manager.
· Facilitating and leading serious investigations with Line Supervisors.
· Must be comfortable in working in a team atmosphere in a Behavior Based and Risk Managed Organization.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are strongly encouraged:
· A dedicated professional with strong interpersonal, communications and organizational skills
· Able to develop consensus amongst stakeholder groups.
· Experience in Conventional Oil & Gas, Heavy Oil facilities, Pipeline construction and or field operations / maintenance is an asset.
· Professional certification or training in Occupational Health and Safety, supplemented by certification as a Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation; or related experience.
· Demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office applications.
