[Company] is an industry leading international staffing company that specializes in the placement of permanent and contract personnel within the Oil and Gas and Energy sector. We are currently seeking a Lead Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to work with one of our EPCM Clients.
Responsibilities:
· Logic development and programming of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
· Prepare and review discipline aspects of tender packages, specification of relevant standards, approved vendors, etc.
· Verify engineering drawings, specifications, requisitions and related documents.
· Deliver the process instrumentation and automation design package and project documentation in accordance with the project objectives.
· Ensure timely completion of all as-built drawings, construction dossiers, vendor documents, and operating / maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
· An equivalent of 10 years relevant EPC experience covering all aspects of design, engineering and maintenance of instrumentation, process control (DCS), automation & safeguarding systems (ICS) and IPF analysis preferably in an oil / gas plant or refinery.
· Knowledge of software applications and PC networking, P & IDs, and materials requisition is also essential.
· Complete familiarity with applicable International and Canadian codes and standards.
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and analyze instrument and process safeguarding problems.
· Risk and reliability based safety integrity assessment techniques and standards. Utilization of problem solving techniques to resolve design & engineering issues.
· Proven track record in delivering basic and robust control philosophies.
