Intermediate Estimator
The primary function of the Estimator is to do task-off, pricing, subtrade
solicitation and assembly of bids and report directly to the Chief Estimator.
Primary Responsibilities Of This Role Include:
· Develop and execute construction estimates using traditional and innovative
· methods.
· Oversee the activities of junior estimators and support staff
· Prepare schedules and estimates including coordinating subtrade invitations
· and estimates, preparation of contract documents and schedules.
· Assist with preparing contracts, negotiations and revisions to agreements with
· architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
· Represent the company in relations with business services, joint ventures,
· regulatory agencies, site personnel and new construction markets.
The Requirements And Qualifications Of This Role Include:
· Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
· Three to five years of experience working within an industrial construction
· environment
· Professional registration either as QS, Red Seal Estimator or equivalent
· Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Primavera (or Project), MC2
· experience preferred but not mandatory
· Ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines
· Strong coordination skills and organization skills
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Professional and friendly attitude is mandatory
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong problem solving skills
