JUNIOR GEOTECHNICAL / MATERIALS TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:
- Assisting more senior geotechnical/material staff on a wide range of site investigations
- Conducting various tests on soils, concrete, aggregates and asphalt
- Work in field and laboratory settings, and
- Preparation of field reports and other office assignments
Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering Technology graduate preferred or equivalent applicable experience
- Strong workplace safety practices
- Knowledge of various test procedures for concrete, compaction and laboratory methods
- Ability to obtain required Technical Certifications
- Understanding of Soil Classifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work in the Southwestern Ontario region
- Well organized, interested in technical and personal advancement, self-initiator, able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision
