Responsibilities:
- Obtaining and managing Contractors' written progress and manpower reports as well as entering Contractors' daily labour, material and equipment (LME) reports
- Reviewing for correct cost coding and rate schedules and managing the field work order process
- support preparation and issuing of contract change orders
- Reviewing and confirming the accuracy of the Contractors' progress payment applications and working with the contractors to resolve any discrepancies
- Maintaining contract claims log
- Tracking and reporting contractors' costs against the budget
- Processing PDN's for any scope changes or deviations from contract quantities
- Providing input for the updating and issuing of the cost reports on a monthly basis
- Obtaining and managing the Contractors' progress throughout the project in regards to budget and man hours
- Assist the project accountant in reviewing invoices according to procedures
- Ensure all invoice backup is in conformity with procedures and client contract
- Run and produce reports to assist controls group and project managers
- Collect, screen and code expenses related to projects
- Review weekly timesheet reports with project managers to ensure proper fee allocations
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field of study
- Minimum 1-2 years of project accounting or cost control experience, preferably on heavy industrial projects
- Ability and/or experience working for extended periods of time on remote sites
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of project staff and management
- Knowledge of accounting and administrative controls
- Ability to work at an advanced level with all Microsoft Office applications
