Our CAE department is looking to add a PDS Administrator to their team in Calgary.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years of 3D plant design experience in PDS
· Mechanical and/or piping disciplines preferred
· Experience with the various PDS discipline modules is required
· Knowledge of extracting orthographic drawings from the PDS model is required
· Experience with other aspects of the PDS product such as piping specifications, graphic commodity, physical data and material description libraries would be an asset
· Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
· Effective communication (verbal and written) skills and inter-personal skills are required
· Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions
· Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
· Proven ability to work in various industries and with multiple offices is required.
· Some travel within North America may be required.
Responsibilities:
· Providing PDS administration and support to design engineering projects for the mining, infrastructure and forestry business units.
· Setting up and supporting PDS applications and interfaces.
· Coordinating project inter-discipline activities.
· Leading the project PDS support team.
· Liaising with project management on PDS related issues.
· Supporting and maintaining PDS piping specifications.
· Administrating and maintaining the visualization software for projects.
· Setting up, maintaining and executing the Clash detection capability.
· PDS project creation and integrity.
· Implementing automation tools.
