Job Description:
[Company] is seeking EMT-P’s for casual positions for its fixed wing Air Ambulance Operation. The successful individual will be working 24 hour on-call shifts and will work as part of an EMT / EMT-P team. Our paramedics provide critical care ground and air transport s75ervices to scene and inter-facility transport requests in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories.
Our staff cares for a wide variety of patients with the heaviest concentration in neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, neonatology, high-risk OB, and trauma. We desire individuals with a solid commitment to customer service, clinical excellence, professional development, and personal accountability.
Background Information:
[Company] (APL) is based out of Peace River, AB and is an Alberta Health designated fixed wing air ambulance provider. Our close working relationship with Northern Air Charter allows us to provide air ambulance service to Alberta resident and surrounding provinces. With two full-time staffed King Air 200’s, our teams respond to approximately 1100 calls per year.
We also provide private medevac’s throughout Canada on a contract basis. APL also operates an industrial ambulance service serving both the oil field industry and the Ministry of Natural Resources. Medical direction is provided through off-line control and our highly specialized medical teams are relied upon to make challenging medical decisions.
The successful candidate must meet the following technical requirements;
- Valid State / National or Provincial Paramedic registration
- Current CPR, ACLS, BTLS / ITLS or PHTLS, PALS, NRP or PEPP
- Valid Class 4 drivers license or equivalent license to enable driving of ambulance
- Clean driver record
- Clean criminal record check
- Successful completion of pre-flight medical
- Ability to provide 4 days of availability per month / APL management will be flexible
Preferred:
- Ground / Flight ALS experience
- Rotary or fixed wing flight experience and/or Medical flight training
- Valid passport
- ATLS audit
