Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager Procurement, Syntech, the Instrumentation Buyer will support all branches within the assigned region with their instrumentation requirements in an expedient manner.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Calgary quotations group by obtaining and providing project pricing
- Co-ordinate the acquisition and delivery of material to assigned projects
- Handle customer calls and respond quickly to inquires in the assigned area
- Work with suppliers to maintain a positive relationship between business partners and Syntech
- Obtain and disseminate market intelligence gained through contact with suppliers and others
- Participate in group meetings and activities
Qualifications:
- Five years experience in the oil & gas industry
- Detailed knowledge of the instrumentation products being used by Syntech
- Previous procurement experience would be an asset
- Strong background in customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Able to work independently in a team environment
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes)
- Knowledge of SSA, LN, and ERP system would be an asset
- Can do attitude
