Shop maintenance services on all of our rolling equipment. Assist test run crew with final unit inspections during test runs within the [Company] production business unit.
Duties must be performed consistent with company mission and values and adherence to company policies and procedures.
· Provide mechanical services and inspections on all rolling equipment in [Company] plant.
· Work independently with outside vendors performing inspections and or repairs on in house rolling equipment.
· Supervise as required.
· Comply with all company quality, and Health and Safety work procedures.
· Will be responsible for logging all repair reports and maintaining records for all repair work done on this equipment.
· Create a PM program for all of the rolling equipment.
· Participate with after hour calls if needed.
Qualifications:
· Must have Journeyman Mechanic certificate or be or 3rd or 4th year Apprentice
· Min. 2 years heavy duty service work experience, knowledge of engine & compressor performance and operations is an asset
· Experience in Waukesha, Cat and Ariel compressors would be an asset
· Able to work on a wide variety of equipment ie, trailer repair, fork lifts, genie lifts, Kenworth tractor etc.
· Highly motivated and well organized
· Able to work collaboratively with all departments within the division
· Flexible with time scheduling to meet shop personnel requirements
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
