The Western Canada District conducts its operations primarily through [Company], a subsidiary of [Company]. We perform work throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Our work includes highways and bridges, airports, mass transit systems, site development, dams, industrial plants, mechanical installations and hydroelectric plants.
Responsibilities
· Develop, Execute and Maintain Annual Performance Reviews in conjunction with Director of HR
· Facilitate Career Development Program for 200 staff across Alberta
· Travel required to remote Alberta sites to develop on-site strategies and attend to Personnel issues
· Providing support in Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits Administration
· Working with HR Information System (HRIS) to track employee records and data
· Staying up-to-date on the latest HR trends
Qualifications
· An undergraduate degree and PHR certification
· A minimum of 3 to 5 years field experience in Human Resources and Management
· The ability to work in a fast-paced engineering and construction environment
· Competent with Microsoft Office programs as well as being efficient in Information Systems
· Working knowledge of Employment Law
· Team player with an interest in other areas of Human Resources
· Flexibility to travel across Alberta and the Western Canadian Provinces
Western Canada District Head Office is located in Edmonton, Alberta. This position will be based out of the District Office and will report directly to the Director of Human Resources.
