Entry level for an employee who may not have prior related experience but has an accounting or other business degree. Work is performed under immediate supervision to insure that quality standards are met.
Job Description:
· Under immediate supervision, applies the principles, theories and concepts of accounting to routine/basic assignments such as preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
· Starts to develop, broaden and utilize technical skills by seeking direction from more senior professionals and by attending appropriate training sessions.
· Works with senior level Accountants on small projects and becomes an effective team member to assigned area.
· Begins to focus an increased portion of efforts on analysis and problem-solving.
· Begins to understand the control environment and complies with control procedures.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Accounting or other business degree strongly preferred
· Requires the ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written skills)
· Experience using Microsoft Office
