Overview
The Engine and Compressor Analyst uses computerized tools, including windrock, thermal imaging cameras, vibration detection equipment and web-based and company software to test, sample, monitor and analyze compressor fleet to insure safe, fully utilized and efficient operations.
Job Description
- Follows prescribed schedule of analyzing high volume throughput and compressor units to identify underperforming equipment and performance issues. Uses computer software to analyze raw data and operating data to predict mechanical failure or under-performance.
- Reports to operating district issues that can be scheduled for repair to insure optimal availability of equipment and to shift mode of maintenance work from reactive to predictive.
- Connects probes and devices to engines and compressor to gather information.
- Prepares reports and work orders and assists in scheduling work that will be needed to correct issues found.
- Evaluates equipment while on-site to identify maintenance issues or operational practices that need corrected.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience on gas engine and compressor units.
- Formal training on engine and compressor analysis preferred.
