Job Description
The Technician / Specialist I&E may be responsible for:
- Providing electrical, electronics, communications and instrumentation support to maintain wells, equipment and facilities consistent with the Asset's business direction and in a manner that is safe, efficient and environmentally sound.
- Participating in project planning including P&ID development, Cause & Effects Development, RTU and Control System design.
- Performing all duties in compliance with COPC Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System, applicable government regulations, and industry best practices.
- Installation and maintenance of power distribution systems, switchgear and motor controllers ( 480,2300 and 4160 Volt 3 phase systems.)
- Maintaining and optimizing SCADA communications systems and programmable logic controllers. ( Allen -Bradley, Bristol, Idec)
- Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, pneumatic, process controls and new equipment as projects dictate.
- Training and mentoring Systems, Engineering and Operations staff.
- Supervise contract labor in the installation, maintenance, and operation of eletrical and electronic equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
- Able and willing to work overtime.
- Valid driver's license.
