Overview
Provide support to the global compliance group.
Job Description
Assist with the development, management, and execution of compliance integration efforts relating to mergers and acquisitions.
Lead, monitor, and supervise internal compliance investigations.
Advise on areas of compliance vulnerability and risks.
Assist with the execution of compliance due diligence procedures relating to proposed third party intermediaries, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
Monitor external developments in compliance, including laws and regulations, government investigations, and industry best practices.
Participate in compliance related projects, as needed.
Qualifications
Law degree from an accredited law school with 2 to 5 years of relevant legal practice experience or other comparable professional license with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters and exercise sound discretion and judgment.
Demonstrated effectiveness operating in complex organizational and regulatory environments.
Capable of working independently, assuming significant responsibility, and being a self starter.
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals in addressing complex issues.
Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
