Are you ready to take on new responsibilities, embark on new adventures while making a real difference ... and perhaps even have a little fun?  The Mississauga office is looking for a Human Development Assistant who is committed to serving our business and growing with our team.
 
The Human Development Assistant will assist with the day-to-day (transactional) functions that are required to ensure the success of our developing team.
 
Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Assisting with the recruiting process by posting job opportunities, scheduling interviews, preparing documentation, conducting reference checks, etc.,
  • Coordinating  the orientation process
  • Coordinating local training and in-house courses
  • Administering the Performance Management System
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits and other HD policies;
  • Maintaining confidential employee files;
  • Preparing various letters, including offer of employment, change of status, etc.,
  • Providing general support in the development of new programs and initiatives;
  • Providing administrative support to the team;
  • Performing any other duties as required.
Job Requirements
  • Degree or certificate in business administration, human resources, or related, CHRP in progress or 1-2 years experience in a related position,
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Human Resources practices
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook and exposure to an HRIS an asset
  • Able to liaise effectively with internal and external parties
  • Adaptable and flexible to deal with shifting priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee issues and information; and
  • Enthusiastic and versatile, willing to take on responsibility.
