Description:
 
The responsibilities of these positions will include but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Conducting field investigations including soil and groundwater investigations, monitoring programs, site-specific risk assessment/criteria development and overseeing site remediation.
  • Working with clients to produce conclusions, recommendations and develop long-term environmental assessment services.
  • Playing a key role in a wide variety of contaminant assessment and remediation projects.  Specific work may include contaminant hydrogeology, investigation, characterization, and remediation of contaminated sites (including design and implementation of remedial strategies), regulatory liaison and negotiation.
  • Identifying potential and existing site hazards. 
  • Preparing and adhering to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to clients, employees and the public.
  • Reporting all health and safety concerns, incidents and near miss events and participating in all office-lead health and safety initiatives.
  • Report preparation.
  • Participating in the collection of background research from sources such as the library and internet.
  • General office assistance.

For this position, the successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:
  • 0 – 2 years experience
  • New graduates are welcome.
  • You should be able to read a map, and use a compass and GPS for field locations.
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
