Job Description:
[Company] is currently seeking an engineer with a strong field-based operational background that includes experience working at a gas plant. As part of our Integrity Engineering group located in the Calgary office, you will support [Company] business units by providing staff with technical guidance and direction regarding operations activities, and assist with operational troubleshooting. You will also identify opportunities for optimizing our existing facilities.
Qualifications:
- To qualify for the role, you have seven to ten years of field-based operational knowledge in facility/plant and pipeline operations and have completed a degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with a professional designation.
- You also have proven mechanical and process design experience, strong operational knowledge of turnarounds and experience with the management of change and risk ranking processes.
- You are a self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong working knowledge of appropriate computer applications.
- Your experience in HAZOP reviews and facilitation and HYSYS and/or VMG simulations will be considered an asset.
