[Company] is one of Canada’s largest and fastest growing integrated energy infrastructure and services organizations.  The Trust creates value by acquiring, growing and optimizing gas and power infrastructure, including a focus on renewable energy sources.  Since 1994, [Company] has expanded its business to include natural gas gathering and processing, extraction of ethane and natural gas liquids, transmission, wholesale sale of power from its gas-fired generation and power purchase-based arrangements, natural gas and natural gas liquids, as well as retail energy services to commercial, industrial and institutional end-users across Canada.
 
[Company] requires an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team, reporting directly to the Director South District Operations.  The Manager Commercial & Technical Engineering will design and implement solutions for operational and business issues impacting the gas gathering and processing facilities. 
 
Responsibilities for the position include:
  • Provide engineering expertise and mentoring to conceive and develop new opportunities with our existing and new customers
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Prepare economic justifications, cost estimates, and schedules for expansions and/or optimization projects
  • Provide technical expertise to assist with the implementation of current objectives as set out by the FG&P business unit, and assist with long-term planning
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering coupled with a Designation as a Professional Engineer recognized by APEGGA
  • At least 10 years related progressive experience in a combination of technical and commercial roles
  • Strong organizational skills with proven success working on multiple priorities
  • Experience in operations of a large plant, or in EPC, is considered an asset
  • Project management training and experience considered an asset
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Self starter with a proactive approach
