Our local client is looking for a couple of Mechanical Engineering Specialists for a major oilsands project for a long term contract position.
 
They are currently in need of the following mechanical specializations:
 
1. Lead Pipeline Engineer: Experience in the following areas is essential to this position: liquids pipelines, facilities, high pressure and large diameter pipeline systems, hydraulic simulation, pipeline codes and standards, pipeline detailed design, cost estimation and construction. Responsibilities include managing a team of engineers, specialists and draftspersons, providing technical direction and administration of projects.
 
2. Project Engineer: responsible for leading engineering activities for projects, being a technical consultant for operations and maintenance for issues, ensuring quality of projects deliverables such as Engineering design, scheduling, costs etc, guiding and controlling engineering contractor within that area, coordinating with other groups to ensure successful project execution, and issues are resolved expediently, maintaining Technical documentation within area
 
3. Mechanical Power Engineer: responsible for design of Mechanical and Piping systems for generation/power projects and will have an in-depth knowledge of gas / steam turbines, power boiler and HRSG, pump, air / gas compressors and power piping. Extensive experience in conceptual (Pre-FEED) and front end engineering design (FEED), developing mechanical equipment specifications, tender preparation and evaluation, and supporting plant asset management.
 
Requirements:
·         At least 7-10 years of mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industries.
·         Previous epc experience is an asset.
·         Preferably registered as a P Eng. or eligible to be a P. Eng within the next year.
·         Excellent understanding of various plant systems and integrating them into the overall design of the plant.
·         Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to meet project goals.
·         A high sense of commitment and dedication to delivering exceptional quality of design and engineering.
