This position is located in our Wolf Lake / Primrose Plant locations
Reporting to the Foreman, the experienced Plant Operator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Work 12 hour shift which includes day/night rotation;
· Operate plant equipment with very little supervision;
· Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform minor repairs and servicing;
· Identify any optimization opportunities; and
· Aid with the commissioning of new projects, or be directly involved with the commissioning, startup team.
Qualifications
· The ideal candidate will have minimum of 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry that includes a thorough knowledge of plant processes such as water treatment process, steam generation, oil process treating, compression, dehydration and power generation. In addition, the candidate must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
· A grade 12 education, or equivalent, is required along with a 3rd or 2nd class Power Engineering Certificate; and/or Technology Diploma. Certification in First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, H2S and Fall Arrest is considered an asset. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated with strong communication, organizational and team skills complemented with a strong work ethic.
