Founded approximately 25 years ago our client has developed a client base of international mining and oil and gas clients which it currently services from offices in Sydney and Perth in Australia. The firm is well regarded in its niche sectors and operates in private equity and advisory roles encompassing both M&A and ECM. As part of its ECM business our client operates as an AIM nominated adviser, a role it presently plays for approximately 20 clients. Leveraging of its success in this area our client is seeking to create a permanent presence in the UK from which clients on the UK time. Our client is seeking a senior corporate finance advisor to be based in London. The successful applicant will receive strong support and assistance from the Australian based team and will be expected to form the basis of what is anticipated will become a third office comprising several staff. Application for the additional UK operating licences to support the AIM nominated adviser status are well advanced.
Requirements:
It is anticipated that applicants will be comfortable acting in both M&A and ECM advisory roles and be capable of building lasting client relationships.
Existing AIM qualified executive status will be viewed as a positive attribute.
Whilst desirable, previous resource sector specialisation is not essential.
Ideally the successful applicant will be interested in working in Australia for the first 3-4 months of their employment during which time they will be introduced to our client's directors, clients and business practices as well as the areas of industry expertise.
