[Company] is a large integrated petroleum company in Canada, producing natural gas, natural gas liquids and bitumen. The company is also the country's largest producer of sulphur, and a leading manufacturer, distributor and marketer of refined petroleum products.
Responsibilities:
Key skill areas for this position include:
- Providing process safety expertise, advice, and solutions
- Providing risk assessment facilitation and technical support (Hazard ID, PHA, HAZOP, etc.)
- Supporting root cause investigations, Learning from Incidents and Causal learning activities
- HSE and Process Safety work process development and implementation
- HSE Management System implementation and auditing
- Pre Startup Safety Reviews
- Technical training
- Policy, standards, and procedure review and development
Requirements:
- 10 years Oil, Gas or Chemicals business experience (operating experience preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgical or other relevant engineering discipline.
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGGA, (Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta)
- Candidate must be able to develop and maintain excellent customer relations and to be service and quality minded; to work flexibly within a global team; and be able to manage a diverse and full workload. Domestic and International travel is required in this job, in spells of 1-2 weeks for up to 30% of your time
