Quality Manager serves as an internal and external quality catalyst for solving quality issues to ensure consistent high value with the company’s product and installation. Responsible for managing the activities of the quality organization as described below.
 
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for ensuring that quality standards are defined and followed by internal and external organizations to meet the highest degree of satisfaction by our customer base. Will be required to manage organizations across multiple sites and work as a liaison between internal organizations and outside (external) suppliers. Must be proficient in project managing and follow-up to resolution of quality issues.
·         Works closely with internal organizations such as; Engineering, Operations, Procurement, R&D and Marketing. Externally works with Customers, suppliers, and electronic manufacturer’s and third party providers of products in the following capacity/functions:
 
Job Description Time Allocation
·         Ensure that the Quality Management System is established, implemented and maintains it’s effectiveness in accordance with applicable standards and corporate requirements. 20%
·         Drives Continuous Process Improvement activities throughout the organization using statistical techniques and lean methodology. 20%
·         Analyze product variation in the organization. Identify opportunities & eliminate non-value added to reduce year over year costs, increase flow and reduce lead-time. 10%
·         Manage development, evaluations, and improvements to manufacturing methods. Directs analysis and planning of space requirements, and work flow, design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. 10%
·         Responsible for development of PCB and product test applications which is needed for internal and external compliance requirements. 10%
·         Supervise the service department and develops metrics to track progress of turn around time, repair cost, calibrations and warranty returns. 10%
·         Perform internal audits and facilitate action plans for nonconformance’s. 5%
·         Responsible for leading failure analysis efforts determining root causes device failures and writing failure analysis reports, 5%
·         Responsible for suppliers’ quality performance indicators and determining the plan of actions required to meet the objectives specified. 5%
·         Supervise receiving department to ensure product complies with drawing specification and purchase order requirements. 5%
 
Qualifications

Education And/Or Experience
·         Bachelors Degree in Technical Field and 5-10 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or equivalent needed. Specific Skill requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills, and proven teamwork and leadership ability. Foreign Language skills a plus. Must have a sound understanding of statistics.
·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors and customers is required.
