Requirements:
Be a qualified accountant with a solid accountancy background, who is comfortable with external reporting under IFRS, either in practice or in industry.
have experience of reporting group management results and ensuring accuracy and consistency
manage group cash flows and banking relationships to ensure group facilities support the growth of the business
liaise successfully with finance managers in group subsidiaries and show leadership in developing financial procedures, controls and reporting across the group
be comfortable working in an international environment and dealing with international issues such as foreign currency reporting, tax, and transfer pricing.
be self-motivated and be able to decide their workload and priorities from month to month.
have some experience of mergers and acquisitions and be able to deal with advisers on contractual matters
have an awareness of plc issues, and the confidence to deal with the Company's advisers
be willing to engage in occasional overseas travel to the company's locations.
Specific sector experience is not essential but knowledge of equipment hire businesses may be an advantage. The successful candidate is expected to take on the role of Company Secretary for the group in due course and experience of company secretarial responsibilities for public companies would be an advantage.
