Requirements
Our Project Controls Department is looking for Quantity Surveyors to add to their team.
Responsibilities:
· Undertaking cost analysis for construction, repair, and maintenance project work;
· Assisting in establishing the client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
· Preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans;
· Performing risk and value management and cost control;
· Advising on procurement strategy;
· Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities;
· Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks;
· Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems;
· Allocating work to subcontractors;
· Providing advice on contractual claims;
· Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
· Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
· Developing knowledge relevant to contract conditions and their applications;
· Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
· Commercially review designs and budgets. Prepare costs from value engineering exercises.
· Monitor site work / progress and prepare update schedules on a weekly basis and coordinate with Consultants / Clients and Sub-contractors and related activities.
Qualifications:
· At least 5 years quantity surveying experience on large scale oil & gas, pipeline, or oil sands projects
· Knowledge of different methods of measurement and cost analysis is a must.
· Degree or diploma in quantity surveying is preferred
