POSITION:

AMEC Earth and Environmental, a Division of AMEC Americas Limited is currently looking for talented and ambitious intermediate environmental technician, scientist, engineer or industrial hygienist specializing in designated substances for an exciting opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing proposals, conducting and coordinating a wide variety of investigations and assessments for designated substances/hazardous materials projects, preparation of technical reports, participation and collaboration with other offices, management of schedules and deliverables, and the development and maintenance of client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University or college graduate with either a Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or engineering, or an environmental technician/technologist diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in conducting and managing hazardous materials assessments
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with the drive to provide innovative and practical customer service solutions, and a strong commitment to technical excellence.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize several assignments at one time, while ensuring delivery within specific deadlines and budgets.
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation and regulations with respect to hazardous materials.
  • To effectively service our local and regional clients, bilingualism would also be an asset.
