Civil Engineers, All Levels (Saskatoon)
AMEC’s business unit currently has exciting opportunities available for Civil Engineers in the Saskatoon office. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing engineering experience in civil earthworks, underground and surface utilities for mine and heavy industrial facilities. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast pace environment, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing civil engineering design and technical support for the construction or rehabilitation of industrial facilities and services; including calculations, design drawing review as well as field investigations
• Preparing proposals, feasibility studies, preliminary design, engineering specifications, and contract documents
• Reviewing project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy
• Developing and maintaining positive & sustainable client relationships
• Coordinating and working with project team members
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in earthworks and buried/surface run utilities
• Ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan
• Broad scope knowledge of general civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods
• Experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects is an asset
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• AutoCAD and/or civil earthworks software capabilities would be considered an asset
