Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be experienced professionals with knowledge of the EIA regulatory approval process for the energy and mining industries in a key mining region(s) (e.g. Canada, South America etc.). Responsibilities will vary with the applicable region and the experience level of the applicant. For more senior professionals, leading EA teams of multi-disciplinary specialists for new or expanding projects will be the main responsibility. For intermediate professionals, working to directly support major EAs or leading portions of such projects, or all of smaller projects, will be the bulk of the expectation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience (greater than 15 years for leadership positions). A strong academic and practical base with a preference for having a Masters degree in related scientific discipline.
  • Knowledge with EA regulatory approval process for the mining industries in one or more key mining regions (e.g. Canada)
  • Strong knowledge of governing (e.g. federal and provincial) environmental legislation and regulations
  • Consulting experience conducting environmental impact assessments, and environmental effects monitoring. In some special instances, regulatory experience may substitute for consulting experience
  • A specific technical skill(s), for example and notably Biology, will be an asset for all
