Job Description

[Company] is currently looking for a Intermediate Mechanical Engineer for our established client, a leading mid-size International Oil and Gas/Power company.
 
Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, the Intermediate Level Mechanical Engineer will work on the design and engineering of several large in-house projects. The incumbent will be responsible for working independently on the design and execution of these projects as well as represent company interests for work performed by outside engineering companies.
 
Qualifications:
·         A minimum of 5 years mechanical or chemical engineering and design experience with gas plants and power facilities (preferably gas fired) is required.
·         Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (APPEGA member or Engineering in Training with APPEGA)
·         Experience with oil and gas processing facilities.
·         Experience in steam generation and steam turbine drive power generators is an asset.
·         Understand the function of engineering consulting companies in the execution of large projects.
·         Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
·         Highly motivated, energetic and goal-orientated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
·         Understanding of computerized engineering programs.
·         High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Project)
·         Experience working in a foreign jurisdiction is an asset but not a requirement
·         Ability to speak Spanish is an asset
·         Valid Canadian passport and willingness to travel internationally regularly
