Job Description
The responsibilities of the FCC Research Engineer/Scientist may include:
Plan, execute, analyze and report FCC lab studies in a timely manner. Studies focus on using lab equipment to optimize catalyst, feedstock, and operating conditions of FCC units at [Employer] refineries. Studies will also help meet future challenges related to processing of heavy oil, renewables, advanced fuels, and carbon emissions reduction. Includes working effectively with catalyst suppliers, refinery personnel, and lab technicians. Preparation of clear and concise technical reports is essential. The successful candidate must be able to quickly become familiar with lab and refinery FCC operations and be able to propose new projects and lead efforts to improve lab testing equipment and procedures.
Ensure that the lab operations are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner consistent with [Employer] core values
Provide engineering support during design, construction, and startup of projects expanding or improving lab capabilities.
Train represented lab technicians
Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
Strong skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access software applications
