Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Identifying and evaluating risks associated with physical, chemical and biological hazards in the workplace
· Recommending changes to eliminate or control hazards
· Maintaining the Health & Safety Certificate of Recognition by coordinating training specific to H&S
· Coordinating employee training programs, departmental meetings, procedures and work instructions (approx. 100 employees)
· Coordinating Health & Safety committees
· Developing and maintaining the H&S filing system
· Traveling within Western Canada and the USA
· Working closely with administrators in Canada and the USA
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and behaviors:
· 4 to 6 years of Health & Safety experience, preferable in the oil and gas industry
· Post secondary education and designation
· Very organized, analytical, and detail oriented
· Solid keyboard skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Work and Access
Employment type: Full Time
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
