Position Summary
Flint Energy Services Ltd. is currently seeking applicants for a full time position of Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator based out of our Cold Lake Regional office, and providing support to the Regional Field Services Operations locations in Ft McMurray, Lloydminster and Cold Lake.
The successful candidate will prepare comprehensive, accurate, and consistent construction Electrical and Instrumentation estimates within a range of values from $100K to $2.0 million.
Reporting to the Projects Control Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to perform material take-offs, estimate costs and prepare project bids.
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Develop estimates in accordance with the Flint estimating procedure.
· Establish estimating parameters, factors, productivity, and craft mix based on analysis of other Flint projects.
· Collaborate and coordinate with other Flint departments that are involved in the estimating process.
· Document estimate build-up and communicate details effectively to internal and external clients.
· Interface and provide on-going technical support to construction.
Requirements:
· A diploma, trade certificate, or professional designation in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience is preferred.
· 5 to 10 years of practical, hands on, and successful experience in organizing, preparing, and documenting electrical estimates for electrical and instrumentation construction projects. ($100K to $2.0 million)
· Sound experience in detailed estimating techniques based on well-defined work break down structures.
· Promote positive safety attitudes that will help achieve corporate objective.
· Excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, computer and leadership skills.
