Responsibilities:
Ensure that the operating systems for the mechanised systems are functional in order to provide the client with quality equipment , in compliance with quality procedures and safety guidelines.
Repair and maintain onshore and offshore all mechanical / electrical functions of the Stabmaster, Overdrive Casing Make-up System , Powerscope and Mechanised Tong Systems to be fully operational on location allowing for service quality as per company work instructions and procedures and client requirements.
Liase and advise between the Client Representative and the Supervisor on the integrity and condition of the equipment onboard the installation.
Complete and submit maintenance reports on equipment that has been maintained whilst offshore.
Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner at all times to prevent incidents/accidents.
Responsible for QHSE within the area of accountability ensuring all personnel and contractors carry out work in a safe manner using all recommended protective equipment.
Ensure that cranes, forklifts and other vehicles are operated safely and daily inspections are carried out.
Where necessary train and supervise offshore crews on the use of Powerscope , Stabmaster, Overdrive Casing Make-up System and Mechanised Tong Systems ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety and quality procedures.
Participate in onshore customer demonstrations in order to promote new Mechanised Systems.
Assist other departments in meeting their goals and objectives and to maintain a constant and effective level of communication with internal and external customers.
Maintain clear and concise records of all maintenance undertaking to ensure traceability of work carried out on equipment.
To undertake maintenance functions in an efficient and cost effective manner, including gauging wear and tear of equipement ensuring it is fit for purpose and in compliance with company work instructions and procedures.
To ensure company quality system are implemented by following work instructions and procedures to enable traceability and compliance with company and industry standards.
Accurately complete and maintain maintenance and job reports during operations in compliance with Weatherford Offshore Tubular Work Instructions.
Follow the agreed QHSE processes.
Maintain and control all non stock hydraulic and electrical spares items which should be stored in the mechanised equipment workshop.
During busy periods assist as part of the crew offshore TRS operations.

Requirements:
A requirement for this position may involve occasional overseas travel and assistance during TRS offshore operations.
A full driving licence is required.
Offshore Survival Certificate.
Educated to HNC in Mechanical or Electronic discipline.
Hydraulic background.
Driving Licence.
Preferred:
Proven experience of operating and maintaining power equipment and associated handling tools.
Mechanical / electrical / electronic experience.
Qualification covering competence objectives on Power Equipment.
Forklift certificate.
Fabrication or welding qualification.
Overhead crane / Slinging certificate.
SafeStart observation training.
Manual Handlling training.
Risk assessment training.
Experience in fault finding mechanical/hydraulic equipment.
Experience with working with diesel hydraulic based equipment .
Relevant field experience in Drilling / Running and operating rotating equipment.
Post apprenticeship experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:
Power Units – Hydraulic and Electric
Power Tongs including Remote systems
SSR Cement Heads
Pneumatic and hydraulic operated equipment
Knowledge of handling equipment
Demonstrate knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Basic PC skills.
Good organisational skills
Trouble shooting skills
Good communication skills – written, verbal and listening
Experienced in communication with installation and client management.
Knowledge of one or more product lines.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of oilfield equipment.
Ability to work as part of a team towards achieving shared objectives.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
Adaptable and Flexible to accommodate operational requirements.
Good communication skills
Good time keeper
Able to work under time constraints and meet deadlines in a professional manner.
Capable of using own initiative and working at times unsupervised.
