Requirements:
Will be required to hold the department On-Call phone, duration and frequency determined by department On-Call Rota.
Will be required to travel locally as required to liase with Manufacturing, Product Line and Sales personnel as necessary.
Must possess as a minimum a HNC in a Technical subject
Ideally should have a BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject.
Good technical aptitude in mechanical systems
Experience in a mechanical drafting position
Ability to interpret basic design requirements from engineers and produce required design and drawings under engineers supervision
Ability to perform basic design calculations as required during the design process
Experience of design requirements of downhole tools used ine the Oil & Gas industry
Working knowledge of ProE, AutoCAD, Genius and/or SDRC system packages
Must have exposure to a Design/Drawing office, and have a good practical knowledge of CAD and other PC drawing system packages.
Good knowledge of basic design calculations using traditional methods
Ideally should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Pro-E system packages.
Ideally should have working knowledge of MathCad or similar software.
Working knowledge of Product Data Management systems.
Must be able to use the right information and/or systems and/or technology, and be able to identify and implement improvements as appropriate.
Must be a team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written
