Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and reporting functionally to the East Coast Well Design Leader, the Drilling Engineer will work with the East Coast DCI Team, and focus on [Company]’s operated development and exploration projects on the East Coast. Duties will be focused on delivering well designs that meet the needs of Terra Nova’s Reservoir Management, and East Coast Exploration Teams. The successful candidate will:
- Utilize [Company]’s well design process to effectively generate well designs, including the preparation of well basis of design, drilling programs, and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical assistance and support to offshore operations.
- Manage change and incorporate lessons learned into the well design documents.
- Track offshore performance, and report results.
- Utilize Stress Check and WellCat software.
- Be a member of [Company]’s emergency response team.
Qualified candidates shall have a Bachelor of Engineering (Petroleum or related discipline) and 4 -6 years related drilling, completion, intervention engineering experience. Offshore platform and semi-submersible experience preferred.
Successful candidate must be willing to relocate to other [Company] operated projects throughout the world after 2 – 3 years in Newfoundland.
Qualified residents of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador will be given first consideration in the staffing of this position.
