Responsibilities:
Attendance at tender kick off meetings
Preparation, ownership and maintenance of the project tender procurement plan in conjunction with the proposals engineer.
Receipt of technical scopes of work from Business Acquisition group engineering support personnel.
Review of such scopes of work for inclusion into a formal invitation to tender document.
Preparation and issue of formal invitation to tender documents.
Receipt and detailed commercial review of third party tender documents, identification and close out of any commercial clarifications, flagging of any potential commercial risks to the project tender.
Preparation of third party tender bid tab analysis sheets for approval on award of a contract from the client.
Issue of technical clarifications raised by Business Acquisition Engineering Support personnel to third party tenderers, receipt and distributions of responses, ensure satisfactory close out of all technical clarifications.
Ensure close out of all matters relative to the third party commercial and procurement process involved in the Business Acquisition cycle to ensure third party tender lock down on award of project by client.
Identification and highlighting of any potential risks to the preparation and issue of a project tender to a prospective client which might arise from within the commercial and procurement process.
Ensure seamless integration between commercial and procurement, business development and business acquisition functions.
Presents self in a professional manner appropriate to the role
Articulates views in comprehensive manner
Produces work of presentable quality
Requirements:
Good organisational skills and smart working methods
Commercial experience preferred but not necessarily in a similar role
Self motivated, proactive team player with excellent interpersonal and workflow management skills.
This experience should include a good degree of technical understanding relative to the sector.
Relevant previous experience in a commercial/contracting environment is preferred
A broad experience of sourcing and placing contracts for services and equipment utilised in the subsea installation sector.
A good understanding of the application of contractual terms and conditions i.e. LOGIC etc
Experienced in a commercial / contracting environment preferably in the subsea oil and gas industry.
The ability to work well under pressure within very tight time frames.
Must be able to work within a closely knit team
Must be flexible in their working hours
