Responsibilities:
Preparation of technical specifications
Technical liaison and monitoring of sub contractors
Design of electronic systems
Ensuring compliance with project specifications
Ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed
Preparation of design and installation specifications
Preparation of manuals and procedures
Preparation of design calculations
Manufacture, testing and commissioning support
Installation, commissioning, start-up and operational support
Submissions to and liaison with Class Society
Requirements:
Confident and self motivated individual who is able to maintain calm and discipline under pressure
Articulates views in comprehensive manner and appropriately according to the audience
Produces work of the first quality and sets self and subordinates high expectations
Able to inspire and lead a small discipline team
Able to distil complex issues into concise instructions and specification
Able pick up, maintain engineering delivery plans and set team priorities to deliver accordingly
University education relevant to the role
Can articulate learning and training experiences
Demonstrable experience of team leadership and working within large multidiscipline teams
Experienced in PLC and ideally SCADA controls
Experience of formal engineering and design control processes
Experience of Class submissions essential
Experience in MS Project advantageous
Cooperative team player to form part of a large multidiscipline project team
Will need to be able to travel overseas, occasionally, for package interface management
Must be physically fit for required position subject to reasonable adjustments
