Responsibilities:
Setting an example on site by always wearing the correct PPE.
Ensuring that the fabricator and their onsite sub-contractors’ always wear the correct PPE.
Engaging in safety dialogues with persons observed not complying with Site SHE Rules.
Being aware of the current status of site work place safety reviews and liaising with the Contractor’s SHE Engineer before undertaking any inspections in areas not cleared for project activities.
Support inspection and witness of contractors Mechanical Completion activities as requested and specified by the Discipline Mechanical Completion engineer.
Deputise as requested for the Discipline mechanical Completions Engineer and sign Mechanical Completion test records as raised by HHI.
Assist QA/QC Team Leader with compilation of Mechanical Completion data and System files.
Monitors fabrication activities, providing random surveillance as deemed necessary to provide assurance that the Fabricator’s workmanship meets Project Quality Standards.
Witness critical fabrication and testing activities as indicated by the Quality and Inspection & Test Plans.
Monitor non-conformities and follow-up on fabricators corrective and preventive responses relating to non-conformities, and follow up on site all technical changes.
Liaison with Contractor, Fabricator and Classification Society on inspection and testing activities.
Monitor receiving inspection of delivered components.
Monitors preservation.
Inspects installed equipment prior to commissioning.
