Responsibilities:
Liaison with client rep’s and 3rd. party inspectors on all work in progress.
Ensuring the Inspection Team have clear work instructions and access to all relevant documentation.
Ensuring Inspection Team are conducting their activities in accordance with procedures, work instructions and route cards.
Resolving all relevant ongoing QA/QC issues through Manager.
Liaisons with all production departments on non-compliances and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reviewing manufacturing QA/QC record data books to ensure QC and certification requirements are met.
Overseeing inspection database.
Monitoring sub-contract NDT operator’s activities.
Monitoring equipment verification and traceability systems.
Participating in internal audit programme.
Conducting inspection of work-in-progress at subcontractor’s premises.
Requirements:
Time served craftsman with experience in a similar environment and conversant with national and international offshore industry standards and specifications.
Previous experience working within fabrication/machining environment.
Understanding of material specifications and interpretation of material certification as well as knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
Computer Literate.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Self motivated.
