Responsibililities:
Executing and adherence to site management procedures (HSE, quality, etc).
Reviewing and commenting on Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s), Piping drawings and specifications.
Verifying and monitoring the adherence to approved material tracking, welding, NDE and other fabrication procedures.
Verifying status of welder and NDE technician qualifications.
Monitoring and reporting on the quality of the installation of piping systems, to include fitting and welding.
Monitoring field installation of piping systems at final tie-in to ensure that no undue stresses are introduced at equipment and near penetrations.
Witnessing or performing necessary dimensional checks to verify dimensions in accordance with AFC drawings.
Performing P&ID system checks to verify state of mechanical completion and compliance with supporting drawings and specifications.
Reviewing NDE results.
Witnessing hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, to include review of system test packages prior to test performance.
Verifying completion of reinstatement activities.
Preparing or reviewing for completeness a list of piping items for inclusion in the final punch list.
Reviewing for complete final piping documentation packages.
Requirements:
Minimum of ten years experience as piping welding and fabrication inspector of process piping systems.
Hold current AWS certified welding inspector (CWI) certification or other approved equivalent (e.g. CWB, CSWIP, etc).
Familiarity with the following codes/standards: ASTM/API/ASME/ANSI/EN material and welding standards; AWS/EN Filler Material classifications; and standards API RP 14E.
Be able to read, interpret and understand piping drawings, ISO’s and P&ID’s.
Possess verifiable carbon steel and CRA alloy (solid and clad) experience (sour, high temperature/chlorides).
Familiarity with NDE techniques in RT, MT, and PT.
Experience with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing techniques.
Hands on experience with reinstatement and commissioning activities.
Strong English and Documentation skills, including competent computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
