Production/operations engineering responsible for implementing capital programs, performance monitoring, and opportunity evaluation associated with managing performance and growth of assets. 
 
Job Description:
 
Performs engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, Procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering tasks. Prepare estimated well costs for well construction and remedial work. Precise and accurate well designs for new wells and for remedial workovers and recompilations. Provide technical assistance to drilling operations staff to ensure that each well is completed in a safe, efficient manner. Operate and maintain onshore oil and gas leases and wells to produce the highest profitable volumes of oil and gas that are within the limits prescribed by State and Federal statutes. Monitor lease operating expenses to identify and control high cost areas to maintain lifting cost at the lowest possible level. Prepare annual volumes and expenses for budgeting.
 
Monitor well tests and production curves, plan and initiate well work to maintain and improve production and develop behind pipe reserves. Identify profit improvement opportunities, develop and recommend new plans or necessary changes in plans of operation and associated equipment.
 
Gather, perform calculations on and analyze data such as well tests, fluid levels, bottom hole pressures, and decline curves to assure efficient producing and equipment utilization. Design, recommend and schedule the installation of production equipment and connection to sales pipeline for new wells.
 
Coordinate and oversee all aspect of new completions, especially design of fracture stimulation. Interact daily with Production Superintendent, Foreman, pumpers, service companies, landowners and regulatory agency personnel. Work closely with geology and reservoir groups as required in planning and conducting field studies.
 
Assist in providing supervision on wellsites and direct field operations through appropriate field foremen when necessary. Visit assigned field operations as required. Perform various other studies as necessary that are applicable to production operations.
 
Job Requirements:
·         Bachelor's degree in Petroleum engineering plus a minimum of 7 years industry experience. Requires strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals.
·         Excellent communication skills to effectively disseminate planning process and results of drilling plans.
·         Efficient time management and the ability to concurrently handle multiple projects. *Ability to work independently, self-motivated.
·         Have experience in the following areas Oil and gas production operations, workover/recompletion program design and wellsite supervision to include coil tubing, wireline, acidizing, snubbing, log analysis, etc., surface facility design including compression, gas metering, LACT units, tank batteries, dehydration, treaters, separators and production units, pumping units,etc., downhole experience to include rods and pumps, plunger lifts, gas lift, hydraulic pumps, submersible pumps, tubing and packers, etc., lease operating expense analysis, decline curve analysis, pipeline design and installation.
·         Have an understanding of geology and reservoir mechanics to perform pressure analysis, material balance and have the ability to read logs. Be able to deal logically and effectively with all levels of management.
·         Be proficient with staff work including oral and written communications. Requires ability to travel. Requires a valid Driver's License. Drilling and field experience is desirable.
