Job Responsibilities
·         Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment.
·         Overhaul compressors, engines, turbines, motors, and auxiliary equipment.
·         Provide training to other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
·         Perform engine/compressor performance analysis.
·         Interpret lubricating oil, coolant and other operating reports.
·         Responsible for the general upkeep/cleaning and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
·         Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
·         Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
·         Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
·         Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
·         Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
·         Inspect third party construction activities as required.
·         Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.
·         Apply mechanical knowledge of and to process plant equipment.
·         Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
·         Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
·         Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company employees and assets, and the general public.
·         Overtime may be required and is anticipated.
·         Travel is required and inticipated inside and occasionally outside of the assigned area.
·         Required to carry a company provided cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
 
Educational Requirements
(minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would be helpful) 
·         High School diploma or equivalent is required.
·         Preferred Solar Turbine and Caterpillar Engine driven gas compression training, OSHA and Hazwoper training, Vibration School training, and Operator Qualification.
 
Job Requirements
(specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions) 
·         Must have detailed knowledge of mechanical equipment, internal combustion engines, gas turbines, pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
·         Knowledge of mechanical equipment performance parameters and measurement techniques.
·         Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
·         Knowledge of and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high pressure systems.
·         Knowledge of regulatory and tariff requirements.
·         Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software if applicable).
·         Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
·         Good verbal and written communication skills.
·         Customer focus.
·         Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
·         Must acceptably pass written and skills test to determine level of Mechanical skills.
·         Must possess and maintain a valid driver license, and maintain a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
·         Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to required work schedules.
·         Actual work location is Rockies Express Pipeline and TransColorado Gas Transmission Pipeline - Meeker Station. Would prefer employee to live in the Rifle/Meeker, Colorado area.
 
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge
(above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position) 
·         Knowledge of company policies and practices, company-specific regulatory and tariff requirements a plus.
·         Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of compressor engines very desirable.
·         Solar Turbine and Caterpillar Engine driven gas compression training, OSHA and Hazwoper training, Vibration School training, and Operator Qualification is preferred.
