Job Responsibilities
·         Work with field operations to develop and implement processes and procedures for control and recovery of pipeline L&U.
·         Lead L&U team as required.
·         Lead field activities during times of high L&U.
·         Work with field operations to determine assessment priority lists during times of high L&U.
·         Perform or assist in the performance of scheduled assessments during times of high L&U.
·         Schedule and perform meter station assessments on internal and third party points during times of non high L&U.
·         Work with field operations and other corporate measurement groups to develop new or enhance existing applications and tools to better assist in the L&U investigation and recovery process.
·         Review current and new meter station designs.
·         Work with field operations to develop cost estimates and justification for those metering stations where design changes are required.
·         Provide support to field technicians and engineers to resolve technical problems related to measurement, control, balancing, auditing, chromatography, and SCADA associated with control of L&U.
·         Keep abreast of industry trends, technology and changes. Assist in creating and updating KM measurement/ and engineering standards, policies and procedures.
 
Educational Requirements
(minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would be helpful) 
·         A degree from an accredited school of engineering or related physical sciences and at least three years of natural gas measurement experience is required.
·         Extensive experience in natural gas measurement and operations may be considered in lieu of a degree.
 
Job Requirements
(specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions) 
·         Position(s) maybe located in Lakewood, Houston or Lombard based on manager discretion
·         Position maybe Engineer or Senior Engineer based on qualifications.
·         Must have a thorough working knowledge of natural gas measurement standards such as AGA, API, GPA, etc.
·         Must have a thorough working knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations
·         Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel
·         Proven communication, oral and written, with ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities at all levels internally and outside the organization
·         Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues/problems
·         Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, and maintain strict confidentiality
·         Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job, and successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines
·         Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
·         Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to work schedules required
·         Up to 75% travel across a broad geographic region may be required and is anticipated
·         Carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working hours, and occasionally during non-working hours
·         Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license, and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
·         Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
·         Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully
·         Work independently to manage tasks and timelines
·         Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
·         Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
 
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge
(above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position) 
·         Experience in L&U investigation and resolution is preferred.
