Job Responsibilities
· Responsible for providing mechanical maintenance and repair to pipeline equipment such as pumps, motors, meters, valves, valve actuators, control valves and other related equipment.
· Responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of pipeline facilities in full compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Support the other team members in electrical, instrumentation, corrosion and emergency response tasks
· Perform pump alignments
· Maintain and repair sampling systems
· Maintain and repair positive displacement meters
· Maintain, calibrate and repair relief valves
· Maintain, repair and troubleshoot booster/mainline centrifugal pumps
· Maintain and repair control valves
· Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself
· Maintain DOT-mandated Operator Qualification standards which must be verified through performance testing.
· May be required to work non-traditional hours
· Deal with a wide variety of people and personalities with tact, courtesy and professionalism
· Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully
· Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance
· Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public
· Occasional travel may be required
· Be available for and provide emergency response after regular business hours which may require carrying a communication device.
Educational Requirements
(minimal requirements and any additional education or training that would be helpful)
· High School diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements
(specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions)
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical troubleshooting/repair work and operations experience in pipeline-related field.
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
· Achieve and maintain all OQ qualifications and progression requirements.
· Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems and other company software).
· Intermediate math skills
· Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, P&ID’s and other diagrams.
· Knowledge of company policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements.
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Customer and landowner focus
· Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, follow work rules, and adhere to work schedules
· Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions
· Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job
· Required to live within 30 minutes of Salisbury station
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

Complete hot taps of pipeline
Describe and analyze rotating equipment vibration
Inspect and maintain electric motors
