Description:
Our client is a young and dynamic environmental consulting company.
This position requires a high degree of quality and leadership a demanding consultative environment. The incumbent will be expected to manage, plan and implement multi-team and multi-disciplinary environmental programs and interact with peers and clients. A thorough understanding of the Alberta and federal regulatory framework is required.
Position Requirements:
- Related Technologist or University Degree such as B.Sc. Civil Engineer, Geologist, Chemist, B.Sc. Chemical Engineering.
- 3 to 12 years practical experience in the execution and management of site environmental assessments, remediation and reclamation.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (E.I.A.)
- Professional membership with either ASET, APEGGA or AIA would be an asset.
- Either have or eligible to have an auditing designation.
- Experience in developing, auditing or inspecting environmental management systems (ECO Plans, ISO 14001)
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including regulatory, client, contractors, consultants and landowners.
- Ability to organize and schedule a diverse personal workload to meet project schedules and deadlines.
- Understand provincial and federal environmental acts and regulations as they apply to industry and government.
- Excellent report writing and communication and attention to detail.
