Description:
- [Employer] is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join our International Projects Team.
- Detailed work to be performed by engineering teams for major production companies. The individual will be responsible for preparation and review of electrical systems calculations, electrical equipment, cables, trays and control systems components along with procedures dealing with testing and commissioning.
- The individual will assist the design team and review and check electrical drawings and calculations.
- Responsibilities will also include preparing and analyzing electrical models using ETAP, EDSA or SKM.
- Individual will also be responsible for the testing and commissioning of packages and electrical systems.
Requirements: The candidate should have experience:
- 8 years experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation
- Specifying control equipment, power generation systems, lighting and distribution gear, ESD systems, and control systems and components
- With appropriate portions of ANSI/NEMA/NFPA/API codes and standards
- IEC standards and practices
- Leading factory acceptance testing of package equipment including generator sets, variable frequency drives, control systems, motor control systems, LV switchgear, and integrated motor control center buildings
- Testing and commissioning electrical and control systems
- The candidate must have a BS or MS degree in electrical engineering and should be a registered professional engineer (or able to attain registration within 12 months of employment with EDG). Domestic and international travel is required.
