Brief Description
- Class: 5542
- One Temporary Position (Up to 4 Months)
As a member of the [Company] Strathmore Water Services Team, and reporting to the Site Manager or his designate, you will perform a variety of operations and maintenance duties.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment used in the operations of the water, sanitary, storm, and irrigation systems;
- Performing repairs on the water distribution system, sanitary and storm water collection systems;
- Performing yard work and landscaping duties,
- Assisting in the operation of a separate residential irrigation system as required;
- Assisting in the operation of a spray irrigation system for treated wastewater release; and
- Other related duties as required/or assigned.
Job Requirements
- Qualified candidates are at least 18 years of age and will have completed grade eleven, preferably grade twelve or returning to post-secondary education in the fall.
- Mechanical aptitude, possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License and an acceptable Driver's Abstract are required to be considered for the position.
- Demonstrated competencies in the areas of safety conscientiousness, self-motivation, and the ability to work with team members, internal and external customers, and attention to detail are required.
Note:
- As this is a safety sensitive position, clearance on a pre-placement medical and a drug & alcohol test are bona-fide occupational requirements.
Additional Details
- Hours of Work: 8.0 hours per day, 40.0 hours per week
- Wage: $13.14 - $18.39 per hour.
