Overview
The Master Black Belt position works on behalf of Refining; Marketing; Transportation; and Strategy, Integration, and Specialty Businesses to support continuous improvement efforts. Master Black Belts use their expertise in making data driven decisions to help individuals improve their work processes. Master Black Belts serve as go-to experts in business improvement methodologies and Six Sigma tools. Master Black Belts conduct Black Belt, Green Belt and other training to develop these skills throughout the organization.
Job Description
The Master Black Belt may be responsible for:
- Streamlining and improving delivery methods for the Six Sigma tool set outside the traditional Black Belt/Green Belt project model.
- Preparing and upgrading training materials and references to support training needs.
- Advocating use of the right Six Sigma tools to close gaps.
- Consulting where Master Black Belt expertise is beneficial.
- Leveraging and developing Best Practices for business improvement.
- Providing infrastructure to train, certify and support Black Belts and Green Belts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Ten or more years of direct experience in downstream or the refining/chemical business.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
