Job Description
 
Ensure programs are in place for compliance with all external and internal Marine audits. Maintain the Marine Management System which identifies all key processes, operating guides, and the information management system required to run an effective Marine business, providing continual improvement efforts. (Certified to ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards). Manage, direct and continually improve the activities relating to Document Control and Auditing. Provide guidance to the Quality Assurance Officer group to ensure quality program activities are sustainable.
 
  • Lead development and implementation of the Quality group work plans.
  • Maintain and continually improve the various Polar Tankers manuals and processes.
  • Manage and schedule internal and external audits.
  • Lead, organize and participate in delivering the Quality Assurance Officer Program initiatives.
  • Actively engage with other departments (Engineering, Operations, HSE and standing teams) to proliferate our quality systems and business improvement process to yield better business results.
  • Collaborate with Transportation and other Corporate Strategy and/or Optimization resources to deliver improved business processes and results across the value chain.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other Quality Assurance specialists for sharing and leveraging learning
  • Represent Polar Tankers at industry meetings, seminars and functions related to Quality Assurance.
  • Monitor performance of applicable management systems.
  • Promote and disseminate Quality Assurance processes across Marine.
  • Assist in carrying out "Post Audit" and "Benchmarking" of Marine projects.
  • Develop and maintain effective audit recommendation and non-conformity tracking processes and systems.
  • Develop records management systems and processes that comply with the records management policy and improve the functionality of the system.
  • Update Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA) annually.
  • Facilitate the Management Review Board process.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, HSE or Marine related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Management Systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an auditing role.
  • Ability to travel by any mode 15% of the time, domestically or internationally.
