Job Description
- Perform detailed inspections on components manufactured to [Employer] specifications.
- Liaise with shop supervisors, Quality engineers and customer / third party inspectors to ensure that all inspections, witness and hold points are correctly identified and signed off as required.
- Monitor/verify pressure tests conducted in [Employer] Test and Assembly area or on sub contractor's facility.
- Raise non-conformance reports for defective equipment and/or tests.
- Maintain the working files of all activities relating to Quality.
- Perform final inspection and release of components and assemblies to engineering drawings, bills of material, specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform NDE and document the findings to [Employer] specifications when applicable.
- Monitor the calibration status of measuring and testing equipment currently in use within the business area.
- Work actively to meet and exceed all personal requirements pertaining to HSE and Quality.
- Verify that equipment manufactured, assembled, tested or repaired at vendor premises conforms to applicable purchase orders, bills of material, specifications and agreed customer requirements. Expedite and report progress of manufacture to meet purchase order and MRP dates.
- Verify that equipment is manufactured, inspected, assembled and tested to specified requirements, and current revisions. Ensure that any non-conformances are closed out, and that all 3rd party inspection activities are complete and accepted.
- Ensure all documentation packages are complete and meet the requirements of purchase orders, bills of material, and customer requirements.
- Ensure on time delivery of product by expediting manufacturing progress in the supply chain to PO / MRP dates.
- Produce and maintain detailed, concise and accurate status reports and Milestone type reports.
- Organize an effective weekly schedule to expedite designated vendors and co-ordinate any inspection activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (in Technical discipline) or at least 3 years of Engineering/Manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3 years Supplier Quality experience.
